#FORMTOBER2020

One month. 15 Pieces.

Prompt 1: Driving Past the Destination.

The GPS imagery came to mind pretty fast so it felt like a no-brainer to do it this way. This also was a great way to experiment with displacement and subdivision.

Prompt 2: The Beast in the Forest.

Here, I tried voice acting and sound design, which I am still pretty new to.

Prompt 3: My Werewolf Boyfriend: (The day before the first date)

Conceptually, I really struggled with this – but I managed to throw something together in the end. Also pretty proud of that "Encyclopædia Lycanthropia" on the book!

Prompt 4: say (A Prayer to the Moon) for me

I really like atmospheric renders.

Prompt 5: "What's that in my Cold Brew?"

"A Bit of Italy in Every Sip"

Prompt 7: Benign Radioactivity.

A neat little loop.

Prompt 9: Ransom Note.

I wanted to realise the idea of a digital letter, I think it turned out well.

prompt 10: A Mirror More Accurate Than Mere Glass.

Prompt 11: Eyes Closed Head Empty.

Prompt 13: "You Can't Go Here" 「立ち入り禁止」

The moment I read this prompt the first thing I thought of was Mafumafu's song "Tachiiri Kinshi" (No entry), so I made this based off a part in the MV.

Prompt 15: Having Brunch with the Monster in the Backrooms.

Another voiced piece. For the final piece of Formtober, connecting this piece to a previous one felt good. Go here to hear it!

INFO

Formtober is a month-long challenge where digital artists are given 15 prompts, one for each two days, in October. It happens every year, and is organised by FORM, an online community of Digital Artists and Musicians.

It's a personal highlight for me, as I feel that I work better with creative prompts.
